24/02/2007 Much harder job than the one I have....This short film is one of the cutest things I have seen in a long time... and brilliant in the depiction of the sad life of a cab driver in India and his little boy. He definitely has a much harder job than the ones we have. Its frustrating when your dream seems just out of reach, but then, the beauty of dreams, hopes and wishes, lay in their characteristic impractical pull and our desire to reach for them. We can always alter them, but we can never stop reaching, isn't it?
OK.. now enjoy this. I am headed to the famous knitting conference, Stitches West in Santa Clara today, to hopefully learn how to use double pointed needles and a few other yarn and needle tricks.
11/02/2007 Sharmi, the SuperchickSo, she's younger than me. She was my mom's student, years younger in age but far wiser in soul than anyone was ever willing to admit. This is my girl, Sharmi, who i feel not only siblingy but virtually parental about! She shares so much experience with the kind I have gone through. Its amazing to find a girl that picks herself up, dusts off and keeps on moving. If I ever knew a girl that I thought Lara Croft may have been based on, its this young lady who I admire and pray for every single day....She started off in the tough town of Detroit, but then kicked it up a notch going south, adventuring in Guatemala. And now, the tiny genius that the community would not understand, is rocking it in Iraq with our brave boys. Here was her recent questionnaire. I aspire to someday have renewed agility to join her or be like her. But even reading the expressions of her spirit make me feel eager to live, heal and learn wherever I am. 2. What color are your socks right now? White sport socks and my feet are soaked in skin repair cream. I swear my feet look moldy. 3. What are you listening to right now? The Seeker - Rush (I love this song)
4. What was the last thing that you ate? Egg white omelette and 2 pieces of wheat toast!!
5. Can you drive a stick shift? OMG I learned on an A sized Ford Ranger that I bought which always cried when I went into first. I knew an expert when they started my car.
6. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Periwinkle
7. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Phone...um... some guy asking me to help him through figuring out why his emails aren't AutoArchiving in Outlook. In case you wanted to know you go to Tools ->Options -> Other 8. Do you like the person who sent this to you? I have known her since I was six and her mom was my dance teacher and we are friends for life (OMG you are my bestest friend EVER!) And i'm not saying that because you live next to Disneyworld.

10. Favorite drink? Um....EAS Myoplex Lite French Vanilla...and water. By the way I'm doing bodyforlife.com.....It's working...I'm gonna be ripped.
11. What is your favorite sport to watch? Boxing at Ramadi's MWR Gym....
12. Have you ever dyed your hair? I have the most Unbelieavable Roots with three different colours including Platinum. I look like an I'm out of the Soviet Block
13. Any pets? Stinky my black cat that speaks English but hides it from me, dates Tomcats and scratches and spins vinyl on her free time along with playing capoeira and sleeping. She is the most unbelieavably well behaved cat.
14. Favorite food? Right now it has to be anything without fat, no fried, no mayo so it's basic low portions of non fat foods. I am happy with this. I love salads now, chicken and potatoes.
15. What was the last movie you watched? OMG for anyone that hasn't seen this....WHITE NOISE....I was at a camp where I know there were spirits and this is a way to contact them. I have tears in my eyes thinking about it. If you can go to Bonus Features in the DVD because it tells you how to contact them.
16. Favorite day of the year? Everyday with the people that I love.
18. What was your favorite toy as a child? My Little Pony and Barbie although I let my Dad believe it was a Chemistry set.
19. What is your favorite fall or spring? I love fashion of all seasons......Hello Bali in 6 days!!! Yes!
21. Cherries or Blueberries? BLUEBERRIES AND BLUEBERRY WITH A FRIED OAT TOPPING OR WHATEVER.

25. Living arrangements? Presently living in a "can" with a shower stall, toilet bed and it's a nice private space that I would pay 500/mo for! LOL. JK. Anyway, I'm preparing to move to another camp soon. But I"m going on R&R in 6 days!! Indonesia for 28 days!
27. What is on the floor of your closet? Closet....Well I have an armoire and there are unused skirts on the bottom for my R&R. Under my bed is where I store everything useless. For someone who came here with one hiking bag, i have a crapload of stuff.

you are sending this to? Anjy and Vij......I celebrate all of my long lasting friendships on this... Thank you all for being there for me when I needed you. 29. What did you do last night? Watched White Noise in an undisclosed person in an undisclosed place (Classified info). He's hot tho.
30. Favorite smells? I don't know...Dirt (eau de desert) Also Axe which I smell a lot of here....and men's deoderant (all the brands they smell at the PX here).
31. What inspires you? Ability, stability and stamina....JK....Intelligence, Integrity, Honesty, Leadership, Bravery, Intuition, Sensitivity (Damn I'm picky) and most of all.... A big heart and Generosity and Trust. 32. What do you regret most in life? I don't know....I think I've been following my heart and everything I've done has built me up to who I am
33. What are you afraid of? Ghosts and the mystery of death. Getting badly injured. Not feeling worthy of love
34. Plain, cheese or spicy hamburgers? Any burger will do. Especially the big patties. Veggie burgers at Red Robin... Whiskey Rivery BBQ
36. Number of keys on your key ring? Three for work, one for my hooch and one for my bike lock
37. How many years at your current job? 15 months and counting!
38. Favorite day of the week? Thursday when I was at Ramadi and now it's just Groundhog's day
39. Which states have you lived in? Just Michigan and Georgia for a month 40. Favorite Holiday: It comes once every four months when I can get the heck out of here!
