How Not to Move using a Miata...

So, unbreak my heart. All U-hauls were unavailable this weekend. Where's everyone moving? Anyway, I ended up packing suitcase after suitcase and lugging them back and forth between the Kerley Box and the New Place. Predictably, only one suitcase would fit at a time in the Miata.

Sometimes, one wants to stuff more in the vehicle, so we attempt rather foolish challenges, such as taking the top off the car to squeeze more stuff in. Hmmm..."drive safe!" the lady in the shop says, waving me out the door after I purchase large things that don't exactly fit. Then I realize driving down El Cam, that I need my right hand to hold stuff from flying away, as Crazy is blaring on my radiio. Yeah, I guess I am.

I am impressed with how much the Mazda MX-5 can hold if one is creative with spatial skills. My Miata managed to make a massive amount of space for things I squished in between other things... really quite miraculous. Wish you were there.

Poor baby Mizzie.. my little goddess car. I know she had a tough weekend so i took her to the car spa. They gave her a nice Vicky shower and brisk rubdown, so baby car is sleeping and ready to rock again this week.

It is a phased program with about 22 days left to move out of the Box and into the New Place. So, wish me luck and cross your fingers, toes and nose that I manage to find a U-haul next week.

Talking about LEGOs Are Not Enough

Okay so this is the ultimate Bond movie... and it includes lots of laughs for those of us from Michigan, travelers who have flown Northwest Airlines, and even for Goldmember fans.... Ha ha! Enjoy... There are explicit lego scenes, so please close your eyes when you get to them.

Oh and Nunni and Ohm... when you are in NYC and you miss the school you both went to, I hope you will click on this and reflect on the good days. :)

    Happy Weekend, Kids!

James Bond, a madman, college. Oh yeah, and a whole buncha Legos.

Ode to the avocado. Glad someone agrees with me.

Mmmmmm... avocado. My favorite. Especially in sushi. Or anything. Mmmmmmm.... I always knew NPR was an intelligent collective of alternative thinkers. Enjoy and go support the avocado growers and sushi chefs of the world.

    So much is happening!!

All of a sudden, someone above us all hit the acceleration pedal and life is moving sooooo fast! So here's the overall update for you guys... in order of coolness:

    1) I got a place!!! Its a nice 2-bedroom, hardwood floor place with a decent sized kitchen and after many months, my car has its own parking space. Two snaps for me and the baby car.  I will run both residences in parallel for 1 month and decommission the old one in phases over the scheduled time period.

    2) Got more responsibilleries* (*as Angelica on Rugrats would say) -- Now my Ops PM role includes more than monitoring, which I am cautiously enthusiatic about diving into. More about that as I learn about the expanded role.

    3) I won a hammock as part of a door prize from Hotmail's 10th Anniversary party. It was a blast... the theme was Luau... and yes there were hoola dancers and coconut drinks. Much fun, much fun.

    4) My mom's in LA having a total party there with her amazing dance workshops. Many dancers have gathered to glean from her some dance knowledge morsels. She is enjoying herself.

    5) I smile more now. I am breathing. This is good.

Check out the photos... I don't have a lot of time, will update as often as I can. The next month will be slightly bizzy. I do want to point out that I am reading this amazing novel called Society of the Mind that I found crumpled up in the sci-fi section of a used bookshop in Redmond. It is pure brilliance. I will tell you all about it soon.
